1. How we handle information from other sites

Before we take information from an article, video, forum or a maker's list, we check that site's robots.txt and terms of use. We do not retrieve from sites that prohibit automated retrieval or copying. Sites we could not use are listed on the Credits page with the date checked and a link to the evidence.

We take only facts: product names, model numbers, and statements such as "this combination worked / did not work". We do not copy article text, images, or video captions and descriptions.

Every piece of compatibility information links to its original source. We weight reliability by the kind of source (maker list, test site, blog, forum, and so on).

Candidates and summaries picked up by AI (such as Claude) are published only after a person has reviewed them.

For related articles and reference videos we show only minimal information (title, date, link) and let you read the content at the source.

2. Requests for removal or correction

If a rights holder, a site operator or the person concerned wants information removed or corrected, please contact us from the Contact page. We will review it and respond as soon as we can.

We stop taking information from any site that asks us to.

3. Posts by users (Rig Logs)

Please write about what you actually tried yourself. Do not include personal information (names, addresses, email addresses), text or images copied from others, illegal content, or adult content.

Rig Logs are published under CC BY 4.0. Anyone may use them if they cite the source (CompatRigs and the Rig Log URL). By posting, you agree to this publication.

You can edit or delete your post later with your edit key. We may hide posts that are inappropriate or suspected to be wrong, at our discretion.

4. Disclaimer

The information is for reference only and does not guarantee that anything will work. Results vary with individual units, firmware and how you use them.

To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any damage caused by errors, outdated information or omissions.

"Notes from specs (estimated)" are determined automatically from the maker's specifications and are not measurements.

Content on other sites belongs to those sites. Linked sites are outside our control.

5. Advertising and affiliate links

Purchase links include affiliate links (such as Amazon Associates). If you buy through a link, the operator may receive a commission. The price you pay does not change.

Prices, stock and sales terms belong to the shop you are linked to. We do not guarantee them.

Whether a product has an affiliate link, and any commission, does not affect how we evaluate or order information.

6. Use by AI and machines

The Rig Log data of this site may be used by AI and machines under CC BY 4.0. Please cite the source (CompatRigs and the Rig Log URL).

Please use the public API and llms.txt. Please do not send large numbers of requests in a short time that would load our server.

Articles, images and videos from other sites (related articles, reference videos, photos) belong to their rights holders. They are not part of our data, and what you may reuse depends on each site's terms.

7. Changes

We may update this content without notice. The update date is shown at the top of this page.
