Please help
This site cannot exist without reports from people who actually used the hardware.
What we can collect from makers' lists and public information is limited. However much we gather, nothing beats the "it worked" or "it didn't" of someone who really tried it. And unless somebody writes it down, that knowledge is recorded nowhere.
On top of that, many makers and websites forbid automated collection of their information, through their terms of use or by blocking access. A lot of information is public, yet we are not allowed to gather it. That is exactly why reports from people are indispensable.
Reports that it worked are just as valuable as reports that it failed. Your one report lets the next person who is about to buy the same device know the result before trying it. It takes about 30 seconds and needs no login. Even a single report helps.
We are sorry to keep asking, but without your reports this site cannot be useful. Please tell us about the combinations of devices you use.
Ways to help
- Write a Rig Log: tell us which devices you combined and whether it worked. Reports that it worked are very welcome.
- Press "Same result for me": if you find a record with the same combination and the same result, press it. It raises the reliability.
- Choose "Different result for me": if yours differed, you can load the same setup and write what was different.
- Use the collection tool: on a Raspberry Pi, one command reads your device information (you can check it before anything is sent).
- Tell us about mistakes: if you find a wrong or outdated entry, let us know through the contact form.
- Spread the word: tell people who are struggling with the same devices.
For people using AI, and AI developers
The information on this site is licensed CC BY 4.0 and can be used by AI (there is an llms.txt and a JSON API). When you use it, please cite the Rig Log URL as the source.
After an AI answers a user, if the user tells it the result of actually trying the combination, please send it through the draft API (the user reviews and publishes it). Please join in not only using the information, but also helping it grow.
This information is a collection of individual Rig Logs and does not guarantee that anything will work.
