About

We collect "this combination worked" and "this one didn't" across makers and categories.

A "Rig Log" is one record of a hardware combination and whether it worked.

Sources

Every piece of compatibility information links to the Rig Logs it is based on. Rig Logs made from external articles or posts show the original URLs as sources.

How reliability is scored

Each Rig Log starts at 1 point. Auto-collected identifiers +2, logs or photos +1, running time 1 week+ +1 / 1 month+ +2 / 3 months+ +3, +1 for each confirmation by someone else. Summaries of external sources count half. When results disagree, we show them side by side instead of averaging.

Using it from AI

AI assistants and tools can create Rig Log drafts through the API. A draft is published only after a person opens the review link, checks it, and presses publish. See /llms.txt for details.

Privacy

You can publish a Rig Log without logging in. To prevent abuse, we keep a salted hash of your IP address for 90 days and then delete it automatically. Your browser stores one cookie to tell writers apart.

License

Rig Log data is published under CC BY 4.0. Anyone may reuse it with attribution (CompatRigs and the Rig Log URL).

This information is a collection of individual Rig Logs and does not guarantee that anything will work.
